After a moment, a man came to answer the door. As soon as he turned the handle and I stepped in, I heard the chimes of a grandfather clock in the distance, indicating midnight.
As he hadn’t spoken yet, I took this chance to glance at him. He was handsome, with vibrant red hair that made me slightly jealous.
“You sure know how to make an entrance.” He said. “Nearly everyone is here. Let me take you to your room.” I nodded and followed along.
“You’re Irene, right.” He said matter-of-factly. “As it so happens, the only other Elite members to not arrive are a man from region 11, who forfeited, and a girl from region 7 who is your roommate, that had some car troubles. So you’ll be alone for today.” “Oh.” I said.
I knew I’d probably be sharing a room with someone, but I was slightly relieved I wouldn’t have anyone with me just yet. As we walked on, the ache from the day’s running began to set in and the distance between the guide and me grew larger.
“Here we are.” He said after stopping me in front of a room at the end of a maze of hallways and stairs.
“I’m Riley by the way. Riley Bodon. I’m essentially the guide for you and the other Elite during the duration of your stay. It is my job to inform you as to how things will be here.”
“Since you are probably exhausted from your journey. I can come back tomorrow morning, before the time you and the other Elite are supposed to meet, to fill you in on what the others heard earlier.” He offered. Great, I am already behind.
“I’d appreciate that.” I said. “Then rest well, Irene. You’ll find what you need in the room. The restroom is across the hall.” He said.
“I’ll see you in the morning.” And with that, he walked off.
I entered the room and immediately began to take in the sites around me.
The room was decorated in the royal colors of red and gold, and well furnished.
There were beds to my left. Upon looking at them, a wave of exhaustion took over.
I glanced outside the windows and saw a breathtaking landscape of mountains and gardens.
Deciding it would be best to get as much sleep as I can, I walked over to the dresser nearest the door and opened it.
I saw layers of lilac colored clothing. Well, Riley did mention my roommate was from region 7. It’s also known as Lilyland, and lilac was their official color. This must be her dresser.
I walked over to the other dresser and lost my grip while trying to get it open, and fell to the ground.
As I tried to get up from my ungraceful fall, I was reminded of Sebastian joking earlier that I appeared accident-prone. Today was definitely not my day. I was surprised to find myself smiling at the mere thought of him.
It was weird to think we would all be labeled in our various region colors while we were here, since no one actually wore them back home. I let my hair down and changed into the pajamas that were in my color: mint.
I clicked off the light and glanced at my reflection, surprised the clothes fit well; perfect, actually.
I sauntered over to the bed across from my dresser, assuming that it was mine if the dresser in front of it and other materials on it were.
As I sat on the bed, I was surprised by its plushness.
I was too tired to even get into the covers and plopped on top of it.
A lonely feeling began to seep in as I slept. I wonder how tomorrow will go…
Thanks for reading! Feel free to let me know what you thought~ Sorry this chapter was kind of a filler, I’ve been busy making the other Elite members, not easy coming up with names and backgrounds for 11 other sims XD There’ll be some more action soon! Take care.
