Original Character (OC) Tag

Hey y’all~ I was super busy yesterday so I belatedly saw all of the cool OC tags in my reader. They were fun to read, and to any of you who haven’t seen them here’s a tidbit of info:

The rules:

1. Pick a character you’ve created.
2. Fill in the questions/statements as if you were that character.
3. Tag at least four people to do this meme.

I’ve had the pleasure of being nominated by several lovely people: Jowita, Lila, Sempreviva, and Socalllucyfan, and so I decided to do several characters.

Like I’ve mentioned before, my reader was filled with these and most of my fellow bloggers have done this, and if they haven’t yet, I know they’ve already been tagged so I shall not be naming anyone else~ Well, I think that was enough from me for now, on to the questions!

1. What is your name? My name is Aislyn Clarissa Persefoni.
2. Do you know why you were named that? My dad named me, he said something about my name meaning dream or vision in Irish but didn’t elaborate on that any more.
3. Single or taken? Um, I guess taken, but it’s complicated… I think that status shall change in the near future.
4. Stop being a Mary Sue! I’m far from being perfect… but thanks.
5. What’s your eye colour? I guess amber would be the closest fitting color; I get them from my mom.
6. How about hair colour? It’s hard to describe, if I had to pick a primary color I’d say red… but not a ginger red, more of a deep cherry red… with hints of peach? Ask my dad, I get it from him.
7. Have you any family members? I’ve mentioned both of them already; my father Marco who re-married to a woman named Nicole whom I consider my family now, and my mother Moira who could’ve re-married someone I don’t know or care for. I could have a half-sibling out there but I didn’t bother to ask my dad if he knows, and part of me suspects he doesn’t.
8. Oh, how about pets? No, not really, they seem like quite the responsibility and I’m not the best at giving affection…
9. That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like? I used to have a clear idea of what I liked – loved even – and hated before, but now I’m not too sure… I guess I don’t like people who make assumptions without knowing things.
10. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? Nowadays, no.
11. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? My father I’m ashamed to say, even though he is the most important person to me… I don’t know how to convey how I’m feeling sometimes, and I can be rather rash and impulsive which leads to hurt feelings.
12. Ever… killed anyone before? No, but I do encounter a lot of the deceased.
13. What kind of animal are you? A human.
14. Name your worst weaknesses. Not knowing how to say no, especially when it comes to helping people with their unfinished business… I’m trying to work on it though so I can get on with my life. 
15. Do you look up to anyone at all? My dad… is it obvious that I’m a daddy’s girl?
16. Are you straight, gay or bisexual? Straight.
17. Do you go to school? Not anymore, I graduated from college with a Bachelor’s in English.
18. Ever want to marry and have kids one day? I’ve never really thought about it… I haven’t met someone who I’ve yearned to take that step with, and I don’t know if I’d be capable of giving that much love to anyone.
19. Do you have fangirls/fanboys? Definitely not, unless the townsfolk that talk about me in a negative light count.
20. What are you most afraid of? Hurting the people I care about…
21. What do you usually wear? I’m not ashamed to say I was quite the fashionista as a high schooler, after I got my ability to see ghosts I began to feel cold all the time and opted for sweaters and oversized coats year-round instead. After I met JD, his presence helped dissipate the cold I feel so I’ve gone back to wearing whatever I like, I’m not afraid to show some skin so cropped tops or jeans are my go to when I’m not wearing a work uniform.
22. What’s one food that tempts you? I’m more of a drinker than an eater… I’m referring to things like tea and coffee, of course, not alcohol… I’ve sworn to stay away from that stuff for good. So if I can select a beverage I’d say a cappuccino.
23. Am I annoying you? No, of course not, I hope I’m not annoying you with my lengthy answers.
24. Well, it’s not over! Carry on, then.
25. What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? I have a feeling my father has recovered most of his wealth, though I’ve yet to ask how, so technically high class, but I prefer to earn what I spend so I don’t rely on him and I’d classify myself as middle.
26. How many friends do you have? Friends are a relatively new development for me, aside from JD whom I’d consider to be my closest if ghosts count. I’ve gotten to know Mai and by extension those close to her like Lexi, and I already had a few people in my life like Ms. Tidwell and Nina, so all in all a handful or two, I feel like giving an exact number would be odd…
27. What are your thoughts on pie? I don’t really eat it.
28. Favourite drink? If I knew this question was coming, I would’ve thought of something else for #22, so I’ll re-state it: cappuccinos.
29. What’s your favourite place? The library in the early mornings when no one has arrived yet and it’s just me and plenty of unread books.
30. Are you interested in anyone? Well, like I said, I am technically dating someone so I suppose I should say him… but that’s proving to not be the case and I am sort of interested in someone I shouldn’t be, so that’s all I’ll say regarding that.
31. That was a stupid question. On the contrary, I feel like my answer is, because who says something like that?
32. Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean? Growing up in Bayville with beaches lined up on the ocean I’ve had my fair share of swims there, so I’d prefer to go to a lake for a change.
33. What’s your type? Considering my current failing relationship, I don’t really know… and as for that forbidden interest, I haven’t really thought about what drew me to like him, I just know that I do.
34. Any fetishes? Not that I know of…
35. Camping or indoors? I haven’t really gone camping, I was raised a city girl, so I’d say indoors.

1. What is your name? Cailean Emmet DeCarlo.
2. Do you know why you were named that? My mom had a difficult pregnancy and birth for me, which is why I don’t have any other siblings since she’d rather not experience that again. When I was born they considered it a triumph and so they named me Cailean from the Scottish Cailean which means being triumphant in battle or war or something along those lines.
3. Single or taken? Got out of a long term relationship several months ago, so single.
4. Stop being a Mary Sue! Sorry?
5. What’s your eye colour? Green, like my mother’s entire family.
6. How about hair colour? I say blonde, hairdressers might argue otherwise.
7. Have you any family members? I’m an only child like my father was but my mother comes from a huge family, too many to list, just trust me when I say it’s huge.
8. Oh, how about pets? I had several goldfish when I was in elementary school, they didn’t last very long.
9. That’s cool, I guess. Now tell me something you don’t like? I hate dishonesty and people who mistreat others.
10. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do? Photography is my primary hobby, I love being in nature and the outdoors and capturing all of the beautiful sites on film.
11. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before? Yes, fairly recently and I think I’ve managed to make things right.

13. What kind of animal are you? A mammal? Not sure if you’re asking something else here.
14. Name your worst weaknesses. I really don’t want to sound egotistical, but at the moment nothing.
15. Do you look up to anyone at all? My dad.
16. Are you straight, gay or bisexual? Straight.
17. Do you go to school? I finished all of my academic education and work now.
18. Ever want to marry and have kids one day? Definitely; seeing my mother’s large family over the holidays makes me long for a dynamic like that of my own… maybe one day.
19. Do you have fangirls/fanboys? I’m not a celebrity so no.
20. What are you most afraid of? Losing those I love.
21. What do you usually wear? Suits for work.
22. What’s one food that tempts you? I enjoy anything sweet, but I especially love almond croissants.
23. Am I annoying you? Nope.
24. Well, it’s not over! Alright.
25. What class are you (low class, middle class, high class)? I don’t live lavishly but I’d say my family is upper-middle class.
26. How many friends do you have? I prefer quality over quantity, so I only surround myself with people I genuinely trust and rely on. Out of everyone I used to know in high school only Kim, Gus, Mai and I remained close friends, and over the years that circle grew, but the foundation has remained.
27. What are your thoughts on pie? Like I said, I enjoy sweets.
28. Favourite drink? Perhaps milk because it accompanies said sweets best.
29. What’s your favourite place? There’s a scenic trail leading out of Oldmerrow that is just a pleasure to walk down and snap photos along as someone who enjoys taking pictures. It leads to a small field that over the years has become a place for me to go to and think or reflect on things in solitude if I ever need a break from work or life… I haven’t told anyone about it aside from Gus.
30. Are you interested in anyone? *sigh* I’d appreciate you refraining from judging me but I do like someone I shouldn’t as she’s dating my best friend.
31. That was a stupid question. I actually think it was fine since you didn’t press for details.
32. Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean? I’ve grown up next to lakes so swimming in an ocean for a change would be cool.
33. What’s your type? People I can’t have apparently.
34. Any fetishes? Yes, but I’d rather not share that with you, thanks.
35. Camping or indoors? Camping, because the open unpolluted skies and undisturbed nature make for great photos.

Well, there you have it. This was a fun way to give some info to the characters that I can’t organically feed into the story without it sounding like I’m just spitting facts, lol. I actually planned on doing one for JD as well, but then this post would’ve been way too long, so I shall save his answers (which I’ve begun) for a later time.

If I do end up making another one of these for JD, I’d like to include another character since I like to make things even (I’m weirdly obsessive like that, haha) So I thought it would be fun to make a poll and see which character you’d guys would like to know more about through these questions. [I’ll accept answers until the next chapter is posted so 2/18]

I think this kind of thing would be cool to do again after our stories have progressed to see how certain characters have changed over time. I can already tell you the answers for several of these questions for both characters will be vastly different just a few chapters down the line.
